The Youth Salute program nominates students from all the local high schools for a scholarship. Part of the process is to honor all nominees with a display that travels to many local locations, including the Coral Ridge Mall!

We are proud to be part of this process and of each student that comes through.  It is amazing to see all the accomplishments of these young adults!

The first mailing we sent to the Youth Salute, including the special offer for them.

Also, here is the letter we sent to them explaining what we need from them:

"The Portrait Shop congratulates you on your Youth Salute nomination! To celebrate this achievement, we are proud to  announce that The Portrait Shop will be donating to every Hills Bank Youth Salute Participant an Indoor Senior Session ($49 value).  The deadline for the session is July 22^nd, 2010. One formal and one casual portrait of your choice captured in this session will be used for the Youth Salute Displays in various locations across the area.

"This session is generally about an hour long. We will need to you to bring in AT LEAST one FORMAL and one CASUAL outfit. The formal can be as formal as you would like, from a nice blouse to a full dress. Darker, solid colors look best with the formal. This shot will be a headshot, so please wear a something with sleeves or straps. The casual is whatever you wear on a day to day basis. We STRONGLY encourage bringing in more than one of each outfit, so you have a selection of pictures to choose from.

"We want the casual more personalized for you, so please bring in what defines you. Whatever you can think of, we can almost always figure out a fun and creative way to use it in your portraits. Common things brought in are musical instruments, collections, sports outfits or gear, favorite items, pets, art, and crafts.

"For those who want to get professional Senior portraits done at the same time, we also are offering 50% off all additional sessions scheduled with the Free Indoor Senior Session.  Our other sessions include Nature (reg. $42), Downtown (reg. $45), Location (reg. $150), and Digital Dreams (reg. $69). Again, any of these scheduled at the same time as your Youth Salute Free Indoor Senior Session are 50% off.  That is up to $124 savings!
